"Goodbye Mr Chips" - Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008
"AN HOUR SPENT IN THE COMPANY OF SUCH AN EXPERIENCED SHOWMAN CAN NEVER BE WASTED"
"The undisputed hit of the year's Edinburgh Fringe was Goodbye Mr Chips, a one-man show by Roy Walker,
the gently-spoken Northern Irish comic and former host of game show Catchphrase.
Festival goers, who like to think themselves well up on all things hip and cutting edge,
trooped in their droves to the Assembly Ballroom to listen to Walker telling stories from
his life in showbiz" Anna Pukas in the Daily Express (28th August)
"Just watched Roy Walker deliver a master-class in comedy. Slow, deliberating and with killer
sucker-punches liberally scattered throughout his set, not to mention a game of Catchphrase
and Car Park Catchphrase ala the Chris Moyles radio show".
"This is a show not to miss if you have fond memories of Saturday evenings spent watching
Mr Chips... or have just received a one-star review for your own stand-up act".
